Printable Valentine Subway Art

The Valentine Subway Art is ready!  I have a bunch of colors for you to choose from again because honestly, I have fun coming up with different combinations.  I tried something a little different this time and added an accent color to the print.  What do you think?  Do you like it with a pop of color?

This framed subway art is another free-to-me project.  I switched the print in my frame to the subway art and for the petals I cut up a rose that I already had.  You can shop around and see what is less expensive, a rose from the dollar store, or pre-cut petals.

When I was working on the design, I added a little something fun from one of my family's favorite movies.  The words just seemed to fall into place.  Do you see it?  It may or may not say 'True Loves Kiss'.  You can decide. :)  So go ahead and click play and enjoy True Loves Kiss from the Movie Enchanted (only one of the sweetest movies ever) as you browse through the selection of colors and styles and choose the one that you like best.

There are nine prints with a background and one without a background that can be printed onto any color of paper you like. (Lighter colors will look best.)

For Personal Use Only

To print them:

Click on the print you want to use, to open it into a full screen.

Then either..

1. Right click on copy to copy and paste it into a document,

or

2. Right click on save picture as to save it as an image.

(I print them onto white card stock.)

The prints were made to fit an 8x10 frame, but can be stretched to fit other sizes as well.  To size them, copy and paste the print to an editing program (ex. Microsoft Publisher or Word, Photo shop) then use the side rulers to make it the size that you want. In Photo shop you may need to save it as a picture first.  (The prints in the picture above are 5x7's.  The print that is framed at the top of the post is an 8x10.)

  17. so much fun! I printed the pink and brown off on cream colored cardstock--ooh laa laa! oh and as I was scrolling down I thought the black with pink looked like Pink Velvet?

    ReplyDelete
  18. From my computer, the colors on the one missing the name make it look like lilacs. Maybe name it "A splash of lilac".

  19. In Reply to Melisa H: I read your suggestion to name the print 'Pink Velvet' and thought-what a great name, it really fits! Unfortunately someone already beat us to it. :( I've never heard of pink velvet before, so thinking that maybe I was missing out on a yummy flavor of cake, I Googled it. I was pretty surprised when the top links that came up were to 'Pink Velvet'...the Brittish porn movie! (I KNOW that you had no idea!) So while it 'could' be considered Valentines, I think I'd better pass on this one. :)

Also, I LOVE your idea to print the subway art onto cream colored cardstock. Thanks for the idea!

  20. Thank you. I may resize and print the plain one on the patterned interior of security envelopes (for my scrap paper) - idea from carolynshomework.blogspot.com

At 30% most of the subway arts fit nicely on the side of a Puffs box (I use that instead of wood blocks).

  21. In reply to Bettymnz4: Thanks for the fun ideas! I love that you thought to use a puffs box, how creative. :)
