Favorite Spring Words/Colors

I'm currently working on a list of possible words for the spring subway art design and thought it would be so fun to get you involved too!  What I'd love to know is this...

What are your favorite spring words?
also...
What are your favorite spring colors?
  • Thanks for your help!  I may not be able to use every suggestion, but it doesn't mean that it wasn't a good one, only that there is only so much space to work with. :)
  • I'm hoping to have the subway art for spring posted by the end of the week so you can switch out your St. Patrick's prints.  I'm still planning on making one for Easter as well.
  • If you'd like to win a free personalized subway art print, don't forget to enter the giveaway.  It closes Wednesday night.

When I think of spring I think of April showers, blooms, renewal, fresh air, and sunshine! My favorite spring colors are green, pink and yellow.

Unfortunately Spring is slow to come to us this year, we just had snow yesterday.

I am LOVING all the varieties of teal right now, my most definate spring color. In fact, my office is being painted right now in a soft spring-y blue!

As for spring words, I think bloom, renew, and for some reason hope!

Can't wait to see what you come up with.

My favorite spring saying "April Showers Bring May Flowers". When I think of spring colors pastel pinks, greens, blues and yellow are what always come to mind.

My favorite spring word is "refresh". It's also my word for 2011! Sweet! The shades of green are appealing to me this year...celery, leaf, avocado, pistachio.

Dear Janet, I'm in full swing getting ready for my husband to come home on leave and have neglected my blog, but I still have on my to-do list "take a picture of St. Patrick's Day subway art for Janet". It is so cute and I so appreciate what you do.

Anyway,

Spring for me is all about letting the sunshine in, seeing the new blooms, bright colors taking over from the dimmed colors of winter. Yellows, spring greens, soft pinks (but not baby pink, if that makes sense), even clear reds (picture a perfect tulip). Now that I live in a place with 4 seasons, I can hardly wait for those first signs of spring...it is as if the ground/nature is truly waking up after a deep sleep. Flowers seem to be stretching to kiss the sun...light seems to sparkle, especially after April Showers!

Okay, back to cleaning...have fun!
