I mentioned yesterday that I've seen some fun Subway Art Printables around and wanted to make a print of my own to display for the month. I was thrilled to be able to make this framed subway art for pennies...around 100 of them! Not too shabby!
The frame came used, but not too abused. Anyway not like some I've brought home! You can run your mouse over the picture to see it's before and after.
The frame only cost .75 from the thrift store. It didn't have any glass in it, so I borrowed a 5x7 piece from a frame that I'm not using right now. Tomorrow I'll show you, in a tutorial, how to make the flowers, they were very simple. I used burlap to make them, but any fabric scraps you have on hand would work. The stand was a great deal from the dollar store. I already had the spray paint, burlap, and button. I estimate that there is only about $1 worth of materials put into the frame plus the cost of the stand, and of course the print was Frrreeee!
